Cluster Sports - netball by Emaraina

Today some children from the Senior Syndicate went to the AMI Netball Centre to play in the cluster Sports netball tournament. There were 5 teams in total (3 teams that currently play in the Year 5/6 netball competition and 2 teams of beginners), our teacher Miss Bateman came with us too! Earlier this month the cluster sports day had been postponed due to bad weather. In preparation for this tournament, we had practised our netball skills and in some cases, learnt how to play netball. The teams played about four games each against the opposition (St Mary’s, Northcote and Willow Park). After all the games were played there was a mini prize giving by one of the organisers and then we walked back to school. It was a great sports day for Sunnybrae Normal School - everyone developed new skills, played fair and had fun!
